Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt

A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his initial title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the competition final.

The Russian, a former number one, has experienced a difficult season, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.

His varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with long-term mentor his previous coach.

Now collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.

This represents Medvedev's first title since the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court after spring of 2023.

The win also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one various events.

"For the first time I have attended a competition with my two daughters simultaneously, so to win a title is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Medvedev.

"This title is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."

Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, including in that event in the past months.

The player's counter-punching approach and frequent outbursts on court had caused observers to doubt if his ability to perform at the elite level was over.

Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and play positively, supported by an improved serve.

Medvedev fought back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Moutet, securing four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.

The competitors traded service breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his first tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a third set.

The opponent rescued four early-game break points in a competitive deciding set before the champion won the break to 15 to serve for the match.

Suitably, Medvedev clinched the title with a shot at the net, with Moutet failing to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
